Aberystwyth Arts Centre

The award winning Aberystwyth Arts Centre is the largest and busiest arts centre in Wales, with a wide-ranging programme of events and activities across all art forms. It is recognised as a national centre for arts development. We welcome over 650,000 visitors a year through our doors, including over 98,000 attendances to our unique community arts and education programme.

The Arts Centre is a department of the University of Wales Aberystwyth, and sits at the heart of the university`s campus, with stunning views over the town of Aberystwyth and along the coastline of Cardigan Bay.

In 2000 the Arts Centre completed a major £4.3 million redevelopment project which was largely funded by the National Lottery. We now have facilities unrivalled throughout much of the UK - and are recognised as a `national flagship for the arts`.

Chapter Arts Centre

Galeri Caernarfon
Doc Victoria, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, LL55 1SQ

A brand new £7.5m Creative Enterprise Centre, opened its doors in Caernarfon’s Victoria Dock area on 7 March 2005. It is owned and run by Galeri Caernarfon Cyf, a not for profit community enterprise operating as a Development Trust. The opening of Galeri marked a significant development for the arts and creative industries in North Wales. Galeri houses a 400-seat theatre, which also doubles up as a cinema, café bar, conference facilities, art space, performance and rehearsal studios and 27 workspace units which is home to 16 creative companies.

Parc and Dare

This truly magnificent venue was built in 1913 and funded by the workers of the Park and the Dare Collieries, who generously donated a ‘Penny in the Pound’ from their wages. Today, it is home to the famous Treorchy Male Choir, the Parc & Dare band, and Rhondda Cynon Taff Community Arts. Its programme of events includes music (including rock, jazz, blues and world music), cinema, dance, musical spectaculars, alternative nights, and community organisations’ events.

Pontardawe Arts Centre

Pontardawe Arts Centre has gained a reputation as one of the finest cultural venues in South Wales.

The exquisite theatre hosts professional work of the highest calibre, from classical music to drama and dance, literature and children`s theatre to blues and world music; something for everyone to enjoy.

It boasts a 450 seat theatre, dance studio, cinema, snooker hall, meeting rooms and art gallery.

Our regular cinema showings provide the opportunity to enjoy the latest blockbusters as well as the less mainstream art house movies provided by our residential film society.

St Donats Arts Centre

Taliesin Arts Centre

Owned and managed by the University of Wales Swansea, Taliesin Arts Centre is a very popular venue presenting a wide variety of performances & exhibitions.

The centre opened in 1984 and is named after Taliesin, the 6th century Celtic bard. Over the past 20 years the programme of activities & events has grown to include regular cinema screenings, an average of ten visiting exhibitions per year, plus a great variety
of live performances, from dance and drama to jazz and world music.

The emphasis here at Taliesin is on quality and innovation - providing a vital service to the people of Swansea and acting as a regional centre of excellence.

The Coliseum Theatre

Built in 1937, this unique and striking building nestles in a residential street in Aberdare. The auditorium is especially distinctive, featuring acoustic nodules and intriguing wall friezes.
